Rachelle Garcia Seliga
INNATE Postpartum Care Midwife
Rachelle is a midwife, teacher, and founder of Innate Traditions. Drawing upon the modern sciences of Epigenetics, Psychoneuroimmunology, Pre and Perinatal Psychology, the Primal Continuum, Womanist Physiology and Anatomy, and Body-based Psychology, INNATE’s trainings teach that which the world’s postpartum traditions have always known: Postpartum care is a necessity and not a luxury for women’s LIFE-LONG health and well-being.
I apprenticed with Constance Miles at her Women’s Ways homebirth practice in Sonoma County, CA. With much generosity, she shared her skills, wisdom and philosophy with me.
As founder of the Dhyana Center, DeAnna has shared so much wisdom with me about tending to postpartum mothers, to the lymphatic system and to reproductive health.
Jackie Davey and I created the Early Weeks Postpartum Prep classes. I work with her through Birth Realm Postpartum Care Company, which matches families in the Bay Area with the perfect doula for their needs. We also offer sleep consultations, classes, and sacred tending.

I apprenticed and attended births with Ibu Robin Lim in at her birth center Yayasan Bumi Sehat in Bali. I was especially moved by how integral sacred ceremony is for families in Bali, including during their gentle births.
Sexilogical Bodyworker & Midwife
I participated in Pati’s Shodhini Women’s Researcher cervical self-exam workshop series and took her Cesarean scar tissue remediation class. She is currently working in Pomona, CA as a reproductive social justice worker and midwife with Gracias A La Vida Midwifery.
National Midwifery Institute
As a stepping stone in my education in women’s health, I took Elizabeth Davis‘ Heart and Hands Midwifery Intensives and enrolled in the National Midwifery Institute. Elizabeth is an author and teacher about women’s life passages.
Shiela at Comadres Midwifery was the midwife for the homebirth of our daughter. She is a badass guardian of the sacred rites of pregnancy, birth, and parenting. Sheila owns Brigid’s Well, a local community center where prenatal care is fun, birth preparation is sacred, reproductive wisdom is vast, intuition is revered & community is nurtured.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Practitioner
I studied biodynamic craniosacral for infants with Gary, who founded the STAR Institute. Gary teaches settling touch for calming the nervous system, deep healing, and remembering our essential balanced nature.
My Mother & Artist
She took me to my first pro-choice rally when I was in elementary school and has always encouraged me to show up for feminist causes and what I believe in. She is a teacher, an artist, and I am endlessly grateful for her support and love. Her uplifting art can be found at seethegood.net.
Body Wisdom Psychotherapy
Kitty is a perceptive and gifted somatic psychotherapist. She sees private clients, teaches workshops and mentors new therapists. She has helped me become more authentic, embodied and self-compassionate.
Original Instructions School
Britney is the founder of the Original Instructions School of Traditional Medicine and Practical Skills. I took a Traditional Uterine Massage and Well Womb Care training with her. I appreciate the way she weaves together sacred ancestral wisdom with evidence-based and practical education.
Angelina Martinez Miranda
Traditional Mexican Midwife
I attended prenatal appointments and over 75 births with Angelina at her birth center in Temixco, Mexico. She shared traditional Rebozo techniques, closing the bones ceremonies, moxa, and cupping treatments during the perinatal period and offered me her blessing in using them with my community.
Sacred Feminine Therapist
Annie was a mentor in the realms of the Divine Feminine, Celtic spirituality and the path of sacred mothering. Though she died in 2017, I continue to be inspired by her wisdom and love.
Not only is Brian the president of my fan club, he is also a tender, loving papa and a tech support wizard. He inspires me with his love for the outdoors and cartography. He makes maps & outdoor gear with his company WILDCAT Maps & Gear. He works at Sonoma County Regional Parks – check them out to find a great local hike.

Local gatherings cultivate a community of care and support for mothers and their babies. Her online training can show you how to start leading a group in your community and nurture a joyful home life.
